CWW Kannagara 50th anniversary Commemoration
C.W.W.Kannaggara 'father of free education", introduced educational reforms to Sri Lanka (then Ceylon) way back in 1945 ensuring that education was provided with equal opportunities for all children in the country, irrespective of social class, economic condition, religion and ethnic origin. More than that, his vision for education is reflecting through the report of the Special committee appointed for educational reforms under the chairmanship of CWW Kannaggara.
This report and some of his renowned speeches were re-launched as an edited book on 16th of October at BMICH under the patronage of former president His Excellency Maithreepala Sirisena.
The purpose of NELRC to re-launch this report is to investigate the possibilities of achieving the Kannaggara vision through e-learning and we were abled to succeed.
